The Mt. Iwaki (岩木山)

The Mt. Iwaki (岩木山) is a soulful symbol of Tsugaru people. The Tsugaru area is west side of Aomori prefecture. The Aomori prefecture is most northern part of main island of Japan.

Neputa Festival 2008

We visited to our home town, Hirosaki Aomori to watch the traditional festival Neputa. It is most energetic, powerful, soulful and artistic festival in Japan. Though usually Japanese people return to their family home in Obon (mid August), but we visit our family home in early August, because Neputa festival is in 1th to 7th August every year.

Note,
Hirosaki Neputa festival is similar to the Aomori Nebuta festival. But these two festivals are different. Hirosaki Neputa keep more traditional style.

Summer tempelatur of Japan

Summer of Japan is very hot, that has high temperature (around 37 degree centigrade/98 degree Fahrenheit) and humidity (more than 85%) especially at Osaka and Kyoto. My home town is most northern part of Japan main land. It has not so high temperature (less than 32 degree centigrade/89 degree Fahrenheit) and humidity (less than 40%) in summer usually. I want to return to the hometown in every summer.
